Agriculture !

General: Britain today relies heavily on imported produce and GM crops, both of which are damaging our society in their own way. The Generalist Party believes that the government should fully support the actions of the NFU to assist in expanding the agricultural industry as much as possible to improve the quality of our home grown produce, reduce the price and minimize our dependency on foreign produce. Britain needs a sustainable agricultural industry of it's own to ensure our own standards are implemented across the board and to also ensure that we can expand on organic farming in our own country. The Generalist Party wants to further subsidise farming and agriculture and also the growing of organic produce on a large scale to better the results of the industry on the environment and the health of the British people.

Farming: With is becoming increasingly difficult to make a living within the farming industry, many farmers are throwing in the towel and giving up on providing quality, affordable British produce. The Generalist Party, instead of allowing the industry to wane, will work with the farmers themselves and the NFU to assist new farmers to take up the way of life. Critical to our survival as an independent nation, agriculture and farming in Britain must be preserved and, if necessary, subsidised to support the growth of organic British farms. The Generalist Party will work to increase access to the industry for potential farmers while improving the land set aside for British farming to ensure more British produce reaches the dinner plate.

Trade: In conjunction with the subsidies and efforts to increase farming for sale of produce in Britain itself. The Generalist Party will work with the NFU and export industries in Britain to expand on trade with other nations across the world. Britain has a lot to offer in terms of it's farming produce and growing to export will allow us to build a stronger agricultural industry within Britain, with farmers seeing more profit from sales. A growth in agriculture in Britain can serve to improve the environment through cleaner business, improve our economy and strengthen our independence.
